Black Bear Hunting GuidesAlaska Black Bear Hunting
There are two seasons for black bear hunting. Spring begins around May 1 and runs into mid-June. The bears emerge around this time when food is again available. Fall black bear hunting starts in August and goes until the end of September. These bears are feeding on mostly berries and are located at higher elevations. If your black bear hunting trip is a success, we have access to taxidermists and expediters to make sure your trophy will get properly taken care of and shipped to wherever you choose. If you do want the bear meat, we use a few processors that can take care of your needs and ship it to your home or freeze it on site for you.

Brown Bear Hunting TripsAlaska Brown Bear hunting
We offer two seasons of brown bear hunting. Our spring hunt begins in April when the bigger bears are the first to emerge from the dens. This is an excellent time to get a bear as there is still plenty of snow, making bears easier to track. If you come at this time, we will probably be using snowshoes and/or a snowmobile. If you can arrive in May, that is a terrific time for a brown bear hunting trip. All the bears have begun to leave the den and head into the lower country with breeding season starting. Fall brown bear hunting begins around Sept. 1 and finishes at the end of November. It's eating time for the bears, so they are prevalent around the salmon running up the rivers and where berries can be found. With two food sources, that gives you additional chances to see bears. Fall brown bear hunting also gives you an opportunity to participate in combo hunts with Dall sheep, moose, mountain goat and black bear. You can also fish for salmon.

Guided Dall Sheep HuntingAlaska Dall Sheep hunting
Our Dall sheep hunting season starts Aug. 10 and ends Sept. 20, subject to change. The hunts are conducted in game management units 13 and 14 in interior Alaska, in the Talkeetna and Chugach mountains We aren't trying to scare you off, but these hunts are not for everyone. Dall sheep hunting trips are totally on foot, with just a backpack for supplies because they take place in such remote, rugged locations. So your physical ability will play a role in whether this hunt is suitable for you.

Moose Hunting TripsAlaska Moose Hunting
Our moose hunting season is short, so you will want to book your 2009 trip as soon as possible. That season runs from Aug. 20 through Sept. 30. But there is an abundance of moose in the state, with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game estimating 175,000 moose each year, with hunters harvesting more than 7,000 per year. Take a moose hunting trip today.

Mountain Goat Hunting TripsAlaska Mountain Goat hunting
Our mountain goat hunting season starts in mid-September and runs until the end of November. And it is often said that mountain goat hunters may need to choose between trophy quality and the weather conditions. The best weather generally occurs during the beginning of our season and can deteriorate into increased rain, fog, and wind as the season progresses. Early-season hunts may have better weather but shorter-haired goats. Late-season hunts may result in longer-haired mountain goats but inclement weather. If weather is a problem with your travel to and from the site or anywhere else during your stay, we make all the arrangements. Only your safety is more important to us than your satisfaction.
