Dall Sheep Hunting Trips Dall Sheep Hunting
Dall sheep hunting takes you where the giant rams and ewes feed and hide: in high, rugged terrain, along alpine ridges and astride steep slopes. This is a remote and physically challenging journey. It will also be a most satisfying trip, as you bag a self-protective Dall and meet the challenge of the interior Alaskan territory.

Dall sheep hunting begins approximately August 10th and ends September 20 (this can vary) Call now to reserve your place. Phone (907) 232-4620. We are in the Alaska Time Zone, which is four hours behind the Eastern Time Zone.

The classic Dall sheep
You know the Dall before you see one in the flesh for the first time. The rams have the giant, curved horns that make them an exceptional trophy. Ewes are smaller, and their horns curve slightly. Both feed and rest on the ridges and slopes, but take to the rocks when threatened.

Dall sheep hunting is for the skilled and the adventurous
  • Because the sheep are clever at hiding behind rocks, you will be firing from approximately two hundred yards away. This is hunting for a practiced shot!
  • The hunts are in interior Alaska, in the Talkeetna and Chugach mountains. You are totally on foot, with just a backpack for supplies because you are in such remote, rugged locations. Dall sheep hunting is for anyone with good physical ability.
  • You will sleep in four-man, top-quality mountaineering tents, which are comfortable and warm. This is hunting for people who enjoy the rugged outdoors.
  • The food is light stuff because of the physical demands, but you won't go hungry. You’ll enjoy "freeze dried", supplies, candy bars for quick energy, plus cheese and salami with pilot bread. This is mountain living!
  • Nothing is staged. This is fair-chase Dall sheep hunting – just man against beast.
